Multifaceted singer-songwriter Totten Bridge shares eclectic track ‘Please Dont Love Me’

New York based musician Totten Bridge released his infectious track ‘Please Dont Love Me’ on the 14th of July 2023 via StephJam Music. Refusing to be confined to genre, the enigmatic artist has accumulated over 1.5 million streams across all platforms, as well as garnering publication support from the likes of Notion Mag, Earmilk, Backseat Mafia, and Medium.

Harnessing captivating tunes and precise musical compositions that crescendo into memorable chorus lines, Totten Bridge‘s sound is quintessentially Rock, drawing from both British and American styles, weaving in elements of pop, folk, motown, and occasionally EDM. Focusing on the universal themes of love and life, his straightforward lyrics aim to strike a chord in every listener, connecting with them on an emotional level.

‘Please Don’t Love Me‘ delves into the topics mentioned above. With its witty, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, Totten Bridge reflects on the fleeting nature of love and our frequent use of ‘forever,’ even when we internally acknowledge its insincerity. ‘Please Don’t Love Me‘ blends a hint of Latin rhythm with an EDM pulse and is adorned with sophisticated guitar tunes layered atop tropical house progressions, making it catchy and relatable, well-suited for both radio airplay and club vibes. You can easily imagine it playing on a sun-soaked Caribbean beach or booming from a taxi in the heart of NYC.

Totten Bridge had this to say: “I wrote “Please Don’t Love Me” as a tongue-in-cheek ode to the joys of living life to the fullest and living and loving in the moment. I wanted the song to be fun and playful and enjoyed while hanging out at the beach with a bunch of friends. I wrote the song on guitar and then built the tracks around the basic guitar chords and melody. The melody and song itself came pretty quickly but it took some time to get the song to where it is now.”
