Pauline Andrès celebrates change with her new electro-pop single ‘Different Now’

Pauline Andrès is a French engineer and producer who released her metamorphic single ‘Different Now’ on 9 August 2024 via Old Soul Records. Based in Nashville, Tennessee Pauline initially emerged as an Americana singer-songwriter, but shifted directions in lockdown and rebranded as an engineer and producer focussing on retropop and synthwave.

In 2020 she earned vocal comparisons to Stevie Nicks and Nikki Lane with her debut electronic music releases ‘Til the End of the World’ and ‘Medicine Woman’. Her latest single is another shift in her ever-expanding musical journey, and features elements of pop infused with disco, creating a euphoric and upbeat experience for the listener.

The chorus is groovy and rousing, zooming in on her ability to weave pop melodies into dynamic and impactful productions. The beat was originally produced by Pauline, and at a later stage reshaped by UK-based producer George Harris. The accompanying music video for ‘Different Now’ was co-directed by Corey Simpson, with the single ushering in a new season for Pauline as she sheds and transforms her old identity. Her forthcoming single ‘Final Girl’ will be released in Fall, and serves as a tribute to the classic Slasher movies.

Pauline divulges: “‘Different Now’ is a song about reconciliation and growth. It’s a love song to begin with but is about much more than romantic relationships. It’s about emerging on the other side. It’s about seeing things differently and healing.”
