Escape ‘HOME’ with singer Russell Louder’s latest music video

You may remember a few months ago, we discovered gender-neutral singer Russell Louder with their captivating single ‘HOME’, taken from their album HUMOUR (You can read the full feature here). The artist returns today, sharing the music video for the same single and once again capturing our imagination. Elegant with its simplicity and allowing room for the unique vocals to shine through, the video still manages to touch upon a point of escapism and fantasy. Directed by Bobby Léon, we’re hoping to see more music videos from the singer in the future.

“When Bobby and I discussed the video in the early plotting stages, it became really apparent that we both wanted to create something in liminal space – sort of between day and night, depicting an ambiguous journey through the countryside.  ‘Home’ is an enigmatic idea to me – it’s something I carry with me, yet something I spend my whole life trying to find. Conceptually, Bobby and I met for the first time and instantly clicked. It was super clear that we spoke the same artistic language and worked in a similar way.”Russell Louder on the creation of the video.

The singer has recently shared the details for their covid-friendly album launch party, coupled with a virtual concert which will take place on the 28th of May. The show will be free to attend and webcast to both Facebook and Youtube. Based on other videos we’ve seen of the singer performing live (also to be found on Youtube), we’re definitely going to be logging in to catch the irresistible energy. You can find all the info you need in Russell’s social links below.
