Dark pop singer Pastiche shares infectious song ‘Bad Loser’

From one of Ireland’s hottest new rising stars comes a dark pop banger with an infectious hook that you will not be able to get out of your head. ‘Bad Loser ’ by Pastiche is out now.

Bad Loser’ is a song that will sit well with fans of Billie Eilish and Self Esteem. It displays incredible songwriting ability from the former theatre kid, whose ambition and work ethic is second-to-none.  At the same time, this single is perhaps Pastiche’s most insightful yet, giving us an insight into how she squares herself with her own “inner demons”.

In true Pastiche style, fans will be treated to a lavish video for ‘Bad Loser’ over the coming weeks too.

Pastiche says: “Lyrically, ‘Bad Loser’ is about your inner demons and, in a way, celebrating them. It reads like a diary entry and It’s all very much drawn from personal experiences that I’ve had with my own mental health. I like to turn things on their head, turn negatives into positives as much as I can, so with this song I delved pretty deep inside my own head and looked at some of the stronger parts of my personality. It’s really me putting that on a plate and saying, ‘these things aren’t bad aspects of me; they’re just aspects of me.’ I think that’s a pretty important conversation to have.”

‘Bad Loser’ follows the success of recent singles ‘Supernatural’, ‘Paraphernalia’, and ‘Heaven’, which have given Pastiche some serious wins at radio, amounting to over 5 million impacts on Irish radio alone, which is remarkable for a new, independent artist. It’s no wonder she has received praise from the likes of Sarina Bellissimo, Spin 1038 (“Pastiche is the complete package”), Gemma Bradley, BBC Radio 1 & BBC Radio Ulster (“A promising future ahead”) and Fergal D’Arcy, Today FM (“An artist well worth keeping your eye on”). Press has also taken notice, with Hot Press calling Pastiche “one of the most exciting Irish pop acts of recent memory”.
