Uppermost has shared the video for his track ‘Perseverance ft. Harry Pane.’ This coincides with the official release of his much anticipated Perseverance LP.
Produced by Transfixion Films and Directed by Joseph B. Carlin, the video depicts a young artist (played by Sebastian Iturria) as he wrestles with the many faceted emotional aspects that accompany his work. The Cinematography for the video is by James McShane, and perfectly suits the atmosphere of the song – London songwriter Harry Pane’s assertive yet pensive vocal delivery, weighted beats and intense basslines.
Uppermost is drawn to the emotional side of music, and thus his videos have a knack for conveying the message of a song through visuals. This was certainly the case with his previous video for ‘Make A Change‘ – a freestyle-sport expedition showing the extreme side of talented individuals who put their lives at risk every day by doing what they love.
Uppermost comments on the track: “There are times when you feel that everything is falling apart in your life, this track is a representation of what it looks like. The pain you go through, but also the faith and willpower you get: every negative impulse is an opportunity to create a positive one.”
