Swedish songstress Clara Mae has just shared her latest single ‘Missing You Sucks‘ via Universal Music Sweden, which comes accompanied by a quirky video that’s bound to pull on the ol’ heart-strings.

Cutting her teeth on jazz and classical piano, Mae grew up in the small town of Gävle and later moved to Stockholm where she has continued to pursue her career in music.
‘Missing You Sucks’ is centred around the all-encompassing desolation of heartbreak. The melancholic subject matter is beautifully tempered by light breezy vocals, and Clara Mae’s, sweet, melodious voice. However, be warned – this track, and its whimsical music video will probably hit a nerve.
Clara Mae seems to have rendered an extremely accurate portrait of heartbreak and loss, empathetically vocalising the emotions that usually accompany lying around in the same clothes for days with puffy eyes, surrounded by crumpled tissues and old pizza boxes. Definitely one to add to the post-breakup playlist.
