Chai Chang is back with another electropop hit released on 8 November. The track is Chai Chang’s second single as a solo dancing singer, and is an ode to his musical icon CoCo Lee.
The title of the track reflects its theme brilliantly, as ‘Music Warrior’ is about using music as a tool to dissipate limits and boundaries. The track is lively and fun, with Chai Chang’s passion overflowing with each lyric and note.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, China, Chai is influenced by C-Pop, K-Pop and Western music, with all three of these influences evident within the track. Aside from being a musician, Chai holds 3 different Bachelor/Master’s degrees and is also a model and actor.
He initially wrote the song in 2023, after being inspired by the passing of his idol CoCo Lee who was a revered figure in the C-pop world. Chai reveals: “I initiated the concept for this song in July 2023, right after the passing away of my music idol CoCo Lee. She was widely regarded as a significant figure and a diva in C-Pop. I was fortunate enough to have met her in person on several occasions and attended her concerts in the past. Her smile, energy and music talent inspire me to stay strong and positive.”
The music video for the single is slated for release on 9 November, and sees Chai perform contemporary dance in multiple extravagant outfits and venues. Keep an eye out for the music video!
