‘Lodie’ Video Drops as Alpine Universe Evolves His KORDÉE Universe

French-born, LA-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Alpine Universe has released a live video for ‘Lodie’, the latest chapter from his album KORDÉE. He manages every aspect himself, from writing to production and visuals, keeping a focused and unique vision.

Sonically, ‘Lodie’ pushes KORDÉE’s signature blend of electrifying production, sweeping orchestral arrangements, and rare global instruments even further. As a follow-up to ‘The Saptan’, the track intertwines ancient acoustic sounds and cutting-edge techniques, spotlighting the haunting 12,000-year-old ocarina, lush Eastern European harmonies, and a resonant string ensemble. Filmed as an authentic live session, the video brings together Jules De Gasperis (percussion, vocals), Miriam Peschet (violin, vocals), Maya Paredes (cello, vocals), and the Eclipse Quartet with Giovanna Clayton, Alma Fernandez, Sarah Thornblade, and Sara Parkins, to capture the electricity of live performance in an era where the boundary between human and digital grows ever thinner.

At the heart of the album lies a vivid metaphor: a team of mountaineers, each scaling the same summit on separate ropes, yet united by invisible bonds of trust and shared purpose. Within this tapestry, ‘Lodie’ introduces a seven-year-old blind Saptan girl whose extraordinary abilities surpass those of her mentor, symbolizing a new, evolving chapter of humanity that is both fragile and powerful. The title is also a personal tribute, cleverly crafted as an anagram of the artist’s grandmother’s name, honoring her quiet strength and unwavering resilience. Throughout its journey, ‘Lodie’ unfolds as a complete artistic experience, seamlessly blending music, storytelling, and visuals to invite listeners into the ever-expanding world of KORDÉE and gesture toward a future built on unity, awareness, and harmony.
