THE ILLUSTRATED MAN returns with ‘The Heart of Fire’, a new single featuring Robert Owens, released this past weekend on ILINX Records. Robert Owens, an Ohio native and pivotal figure in late 1980s Chicago house, lends his considerable legacy to the collaboration. Since relocating to London in 1993, he has continued to shape the genre, running his own label and releasing a steady stream of influential records. His 2002 anthology, Love Will Find Its Way: The Best of Robert Owens, and the 2008 album Night-Time Stories, both showcase his enduring influence on house music.
