Rising singer-songwriter Isaac Butler has returned with his latest single ‘Heart of Gold’, released on the 4th of October 2023. The Irish artist has been enjoying mounting success with each new release and shows no signs of slowing down.
Playing the Irish festival scene, he has appeared at Electric Picnic and Kaleidoscope. His debut headline show in Whelans Dublin sold out. His debut single ‘Moon Song’ currently has over 2 million Spotify streams, gaining international attention after being picked up by hit German TV show The Bachelorette. Another single, ‘Paranoid’, accumulated over 600 airplays and 4.2 million radio impressions in its first month across various stations such as 2FM, 98FM and Spin1038, to name but a few. Additionally, ‘Paranoid’ is the only independent artist release that has featured in the Top 40 Irish charts, and also features in the Top 20 Irish Radio Play charts and the Top 50 Irish Shazam charts.
‘Heart Of Gold’ is a soul-stirring and uplifting number. Isaac’s lyrics explore the theme of vulnerability in the pursuit of love – his vocals soulfully soar in their passionate and incredibly clear delivery. An anthemic and emotive pop chorus with multiple vocal layers captivates the listener, while crisply-produced electric instrumentation (driving drums, passionate guitar licks and so much more) infuses the song with drive and feeling. It is impossible not to move to this track. Isaac reflects on the creation of the track, saying, “I wrote the song in a few hours; it sort of fell out of me. Usually, the better ones are easier to write!“
