A creative known to juggle many projects, Jan Daley has unveiled her latest one, a Jazz reinterpretation of her chart-topping single ‘The Way Of A Woman’. The reimagined record is a taste of what fans of both the original and new can expect from her forthcoming Best of album, which will feature fan favourites from her many CDs, including Where There’s Hope and Broadway Memories. Not to mention her Billboard-ranking holiday special, Home for Christmas, an album that soared to fourth position on the charts.

Jan Daley has particular intentions with the new rendition: “I wanted to give it a more relaxed and sensual feel. Smooth Jazz is known for its smooth textures and soulful melodies, which I felt would complement the song’s lyrics and overall vibe. Additionally, Smooth Jazz has a wide appeal and is enjoyed by many, making it a great way to introduce my music to a broader audience.”

This new version shines a warm light on the crooner’s emotive vocals. Electronic pianos warble and Brass sings out as if in response to Daley’s forlorn songwriting, highlighting the emotions that undergird the already teary-eyed story, a story of love lost and the difficulty of acceptance.
