Quiet Storm shares a haunting video for his moody single, ‘This Place’

Quiet Storm, the musical alias of renowned celebrity stylist Dean Aslett, is gearing up to release a music video for his latest single, ‘This Place,’ on February 23, 2024. The video received premiere support from CLASH Magazine, while EARMILK has showered praise on the single. Having achieved consecutive Top 10 Chart positions on Music Week UK with his initial four singles, Quiet Storm divides his time between London and Mykonos. The Croydon native’s extensive fashion career includes working with industry giants like Versace and providing styling services or acting as a personal shopper for A-listers such as Princess Diana, Prince William, Elton John, Joan Collins, Liz Hurley, and members of Duran Duran. Despite his impressive fashion background, Dean has made the bold decision to leave the industry and fully commit to a career in music.

‘This Place’, produced by Chase Emery Davis, is an enchanting dream pop creation featuring moody synthscapes, a pulsating four-on-the-floor beat, and the expressive vocals of Quiet Storm interwoven with subtle vocal samples. The black-and-white music video, skillfully directed by Dan Hart of Light Engine Films, showcases Quiet Storm strolling through the lively streets of Paris, France, and Nerja, Spain. Amidst the vibrant scenes, he exudes a dreamlike solitude, captured in alternating shots of passionate singing, offering a glimpse into his introspective world.

Quiet Storm shared: “I wanted to reinforce the notion of the song, ‘This Place’ being set in a twilight world delving into the realm of my dreams and fantasies of a film noir landscape. The song conjures up emotions of a very French/European feel and so there was only one answer where to shoot it really, Paris.”
