904L World Class Sound, based in Cleveland, unveils its third EP, adding to its expanding catalog. The forthcoming release, ‘Gods Don’t Die’, comes from label head Sound On Tape. Originating from Cleveland, OH, Sound On Tape draws inspiration from influential figures like El-B, Burial, Mr. Fingers, and Sticky, alongside deep-rooted Black gospel icons such as CL Franklin, Pastor T.L. Barrett, the Youth for Christ Choir, and Mahalia Jackson.
With a fusion of introspective keys, subtle broken beats, and gospel vocals by Kyle Kidd, ‘Gods Don’t Die’ presents a versatile tune suitable for various atmospheres.
His debut EP, “Hush Harbors,” released via 904L World Class Sound, solidifies his distinct amalgamation of electronic genres, rooted in Garage, 2-Step, Jazz, and more. This was succeeded by the label’s second release, courtesy of Sullivan!, who delivered a nuanced, entrancing minimal house EP.
