Pinwheel Valley Unveils Indie Folk Gem ‘’Someway’’ on Hot Soap Records

Pinwheel Valley just released their new single ‘’Someway’’ on Friday via Hot Soap Records, hot on the heels of ‘’Werewolf’’, which got its first play in METAL Magazine and rotations on RTÉ 2FM, RTÉ 2XM, plus NPR Music. They’ve racked up more than 2 million streams, with nods from CLASH Magazine, NOTION, Earmilk, Billboard Argentina, and plays on BBC Radio London and BBC Radio Sheffield. ‘’Your Superman’’ climbed to No. 13 on the US iTunes Alternative Chart, while clips for ‘’Willow’’ and ‘’Abduction’’ won Best Music Video at fests like New York Film Awards, Vegas Movie Awards, and Swedish International Film Festival. The outfit, spearheaded by Jordanian-Canadian multi-talent Qais Khoury on vocals, composition, and instruments, evolved from his solo KAIS days into a blend of indie soul, soft alt-rock, and folktronica elements, echoing Jeff Buckley, Bon Iver, James Blake, and Radiohead. Live, it’s Qais with Stephanos Marangos (guitars), Max Daniels (bass/Ableton), and drummers Stephanos Meletiou or Phrangiskos Petrisis. Qais‘s journey kicked off writing tunes at 13, fueled by his father’s Sinatra and Elton John spins, and refined through production studies at London’s Point Blank Music School. His cross-continental roots—from Amman to London, Vancouver, and Cyprus, home to his Hot Soap Studios Ltd—infuse the project’s thoughtful edge.

Dipping into cozy indie folk, ‘’Someway’’ features subtle acoustic strums, ethereal layers, and light beats framing Qais‘s heartfelt, restrained singing. It channels a longing for genuine bonds in our fragmented era, with a nod to fans of Father John Misty, Jeff Buckley, and Nick Murphy, all crafted by Qais Khoury as writer and producer.

Frontman Qais Khoury revealed: “I wrote ‘’Someway’’ as a tender plea, woven with threads of hope and longing. It reflects the ache of separation (be it physical, emotional, or spiritual) and the deep yearning for reconnection. In an age defined by instant, hypermodern communication, I found myself gazing out to sea, inspired by a bygone era when messages in bottles carried words of love across vast, uncertain distances. The song captures that sense of remoteness, and the fragility of faith in a bond that may still endure. In this light, the refrain “know I’ll find it someway” becomes an unyielding anchor of hope.”
