English indie-pop trio CAEZAR have just released their brand new infectious EP, HAIL! on Friday, November 30th. Following the release of their last highly addictive and vulnerable single titled ‘Take Me There’ lifted from their latest impressive body of work and EP, the band also dropped ‘Somewhere New’ (BBC Introducing exclusive), ‘Waiting’, which was featured on popular UK show ITV This Morning and ‘Hold On’, being exclusively premiered by CLASH Magazine. Mastering duties were humbly taken on by prolific engineer Stuart Hawkes, who holds vast credit for working closely with celebrated artists and bands such as Amy Winehouse, Clean Bandit and Rudimental, to name just a few.
Initially starting out as duo, CAEZAR would eventually become the mammoth-trio they are today when synth player and backup vocalist Zoe Dwyer teamed up with the pair back in 2017, resulting in their celebrated and now distinctly refined electro-pop drenched sound. To date the band have shared the stage with artists such Hozier, James Bay, Jack Garrett as well as having performed at Barn on the Farm Festival and being featured on the acclaimed radio platform BBC Music Introducing, propelling the talented trio further into the cosmic realm of appeal.
CAEZAR’s HAIL! EP is a cascade of texture, strong songwriting skills and charming production; the opener “Waiting” is an emotive invitation backed with energetic instrumentation, spilling out seductive lyrics, “I’ve been looking for someone just like you / I can feel the love, baby can you feel it too?”, certainly fit for summer, the season of love. “Hold On” is an elegantly produced power-pop wonder full of tantalising vocal delivery, immersive synth work and solid drums, capturing the trio’s ability to adapt to any given circumstance and sound. “Somewhere New” begins with heavenly auras yet soon filled to the brim with captivating and anthemic vocals, blending together pure indie-pop incantations, high-spirited percussion and all round celestial vibrations, definitely fit for the dance floor. The closing track “Take Me There” features atmospheric vocals, concise programming and an epically soulful climactic section driven by powerful drums and blissful synthesisers, whisking us away into harmonious bliss and showcasing the trio’s hypnotic potential to break the mould and wholeheartedly repair it again.
